WRIGHT MORRIS ART EXHIBIT


Monday, January 10 ~ Saturday, February 12, 2011

               

Morris Wright, born in Central, Nebraska, he became a world renowned photographer and author. While growing up, he and his father moved and traveled extensively. After college he spent a year abroad in Europe. During a cross country car trip he became enthralled with the visual beauty of the rural life.

He has been awarded the American Book Award, Guggenheim Fellowship in Photography, Mari Sandoz Award, Mark Twain Award, to name a few.  The Museum of Nebraska Art holds 130 photos by Wright Morris - believed to be the largest number in a public institution.
