"JEWELRY MAKING FOR BOYS & GIRLS"

     
Middle School Program
6th thru 8th Grades
Thursday, February 5, 2009
3:45-5PM

Students will learn the "Basics of Jewelry Making".  This project will include ideas for boys and girls.  They will design a piece of jewelry with different materials, including leather, wood, beads and wire.

Aneme ~ Manga Convention #1

    The Falls City Library & Arts Center will host an Anime ~ Manga Convention for
Grades 6-8 on Thursday, Januarty 15th from 4-5PM.  Our collection of books and movies are circulating rapidly at the library and middle school children are invited to come and talk about their favorite characters.
Refreshments will be served.  For more information call the library.

How:     Sign up for the party at the library and read the book (please return the book so more girls can      participate)

Children will watch a movie while they have refreshments, har stories, play games, and hear different kinds of music.  They will learn about jazz history when David von Behren portrays Pee Wee Erwin.  Children will make musical instruments.

Paint a pumpkin! Children will learn how to convey feelings and emotions through the use of facial expressions and the methods and techniques of painting on a 3-dimensional shaped object.
