"Great Books for Great Kids"

Runza Restaurants will conduct the 6th annual "Great Books for Great Kids" fundraiser.  The funds will benefit the Falls City Library & Arts Center.  They will donate 15% of sales on  Sept. 9 to the Falls City Library to help  purchase books for children.

Runza Restaurants has been a long time supporter of reading.

AQUATIC EDUCATION PROGRAM "AKSARBEN AQUARIUM BUGS"

TUESDAY, JULY 22, 2008
@ STANTON LAKE

Grades K-3: 1:00-1:45PM
Children will see photos, preserved specimen bugs, learn about preparation of fly fishing bait and "hands on" in buckets and baby pools of live bugs.  Caregivers or parents should accompany children.

Grades 4-8: 2:00-2:45PM
Kids will llearn to identify bugs, search and dip for bugs in the lake.

"PAJAMARAMA GIRL'S BOOK TALK"

Thursday, July 24, 2008 ~ Grades 3-5 ~ 10-11:30AM

Girls will wear pajamas, bring their pillow and enter from the south parking lot.
Having brunch on the patio. Books available at the library.

"Don't Bug Me"

The summer reading program focuses on insects with this special program at the library.  They'll read insect books, sing songs, and talk about some special bugs.  This program is sponsored by the Richardson County Arts and Humanities Council.

"Catch the Reading Bug"

Tuesday, June 24 ~ 1 - 2:30PM ~ Grades K-5
Summer Reading program. A guest reader will be here.  Snacks will be served.  Bring your board games.  Many new summer reading books will be available to check out.

Thursday, May 14, 5:30-6:30PM ~ Ages 3-5 years
The world around is full of growing things.  Come to the library to find out about roots, stems, leaves and flowers.  We'll read about plants.  We'll also do digging and planting.  Stories will tell us about the beauty of flowers and we'll create some flowers of our own.
